After my mission I joined the US Army as a Nurse and worked in OB for 2 years and then the Operating room/Recover Room for 2 years after that. I left the Army and worked construction for a few years and then went to Utah State University at age 28 with my pregnant wife and a small baby. I graduated in 1989 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering with 4 kids and a pregnant wife. I worked my way through school and joined the Army Reserve as their nurse and then later joined the Utah National Guard as Army Intelligence Interrogator/Spanish Interpreter/Translator.

I worked for years as a Mechanical Engineer with various companies in Idaho and South Carolina.

I went to Iraq at age 56 for 12 months in Iraq and 6 months in Utah training to go to Iraq.

I took a 4400 mile bike ride across America from Forks Washington to Bar Harbor, Maine and then on through to Campbelton, New Brunswick. Details can be seen at: BikingTheDistance.blogspot.com if anyone cares.

Came home from Iraq and could not find a job because I was 56 and learned that Corporate America does not love you anymore if you are over 50, so I started knocking doors to make a living ,with my youngest son home a few years from his mission in Spain. I sold Pest control, Internet, Alarms, and Solar Systems knocking on doors. Not that fun, I can tell you. I liked Solar the best so I stuck with that until I was 69 years old. Mostly knocking on doors.

I retired from the Army at age 61 and retired for good at age 69.

Moved to Montana in March of 2025. We love it here catching 24 inch trout and learning how to find the Deer and Elk in Montana.

I have Pack goats to get me around the Outdoors and try to stay active.

I have a great Wife and 5 great kids. Not all my kids are active in the church but we love them anyway.

See above. Went to Utah State at age 28 in 1981 and got a degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1989. Also got a degree at Cochise College in Arizona in Military Intelligence. After going to Iraq I could not get a job in Engineering because I was 56 years old. Corporate America does not like hiring people over 50 years old. I found that out the hard way. So I knocked doors for 13 years selling whatever I could after that. I guess that is the school of Hard Knocks. I did not really enjoy knocking on doors and listening to people cuss at me but I was able to make a living doing that. (Kind of)
