Anna Cox (Redding) - Years of 1977

Anna Louise Cox 1948 - 2002
As reported by her brother Lamar K Cox

Anna was five years younger than I, so I got to be the baby sitter a lot. We shared toys and the experience of having brothers in the hospital with Polio, and thus an addition to our old Payson two-bedroom adobe home in 1952. Some of the play we did was in an old orange crate box I had made into a sort of airplane and I was Sky King and she was Penny and we listened to our adventures on the radio weekly program. Anna grew up to be a beautiful young lady and rode on the city float as Miss Payson.

She served an L D S mission to Bolivia and went to Snow College for a couple years. She married Randall Redding and they had two sons and a daughter and lived in several places from California to Utah. She loved gardening and flowers and canned much of the produce they grew. As her life cranked down from cancer at an early age she sent two of her children on LDS missions. Her Daughter Megan was only home from her mission for a few days before Anna passed. Anna asked that her son David stay on his mission in Brazil and not come home for the funeral and that she would be there in spirit with him while he served his mission out.

She wished to be buried in Manti Cemetery so that she could be near her Great Great Grandpa Fredrick Walter Cox who she loved dearly after reading our family histories. Her husband Randy was also buried next to her in Manti. She was missed and loved by her family and many many friends.
